1888 Creation of the brand by Seraphin Bollé in Oyonnax (Fra). Bollé is one of the first companies to use a new type of celluloïd. This material becomes the basis of Bollé products during its first decades.
1945 - 1950 After WWII, Bollé led the way in molding nylon to the highest standards in the world.
1950 Safety glasses and goggles were added to the Bollé line in 1950.
In 1956 Georges Bollé created the famous nylon 'cat-eyes' sunglass.
In 1960, ski goggles were first marketed by Bollé. Leading the industry in product innovations, the Bollé family took the business from a small cottage to one of the world's most prominent manufacturers of premium eyewear.
1986 Launch of the iconic cycling model CHRONOSHIELD.
2007 Bollé launches its first line of ski helmets, becoming a front-line player in the winter sports landscape. 2015 On the strength of decades of collaboration with top cycling athletes including team Banesto, ONCE or Orica GreenEdge, Bollé launches its first line of cycling helmets. Today the brand offers cycling, mountain bike and urban cycling products and keeps on innovating to develop the ranges.
